Fire Prevention staff is responsible for code compliance in new and existing buildings throughout the community and educating residents and businesses in fire safety. This includes activities such as:

Conducting fire safety and prevention education

    • Fire Extinguisher Training – upon request, the department may set up a fire extinguisher training session for businesses, neighborhoods, civic organizations (must be over 13 years of age), and other groups.

Youth Fireplay Intervention Program

    • The Rogers YFPI Program is an educational intervention program not intended to employ scare tactics, intimidate, or punish. The program is designed to teach youth about fire and the dangers of fire-setting behavior. This program can be voluntary if you feel your child may benefit from this type of education or court-mandated in cases of fire play throughout the community. The program is confidential.
